The Hate Crew has announced 2009 North American dates (yessss!). Bodom will be joining Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, God Forbid and Municipal Waste. Tour starts on April 1st in Phoenix AZ and will work its way up the American West Coast into Canada, eventually heading back to the US to finish the tour in May. Check the website for further details, all the dates are listed.
Alexi Laiho has also been sightseeing around…he was at the NAMM Expo in Anaheim this weekend signing autographs and meeting fans. NAMM provided a great chance to fans to meet and greet heroes, and everyone was there!
On other news (slightly) Megadeth has officially finished recording the drums for their upcoming record. Shawn Drover posted on the Megaforums stating that he had JUST finished the drum tracks for the album and was on his way home. Now, lets jump on the wayback machine and recall that last week Chris Broderick posted on the Megadeth forums mentioning that he was going to be starting the guitar tracks this week. Ok, wayback machine aside, the band is about 25% done recording their upcoming album, and Dave mentioned on the website that he’d like to have the recording done before the band leaves for Priest Feast. Keep your eyes peeled for Megadeth’s twelfth studio album, and the first featuring Chris Broderick on guitars, hopefully coming to a store near you sometime in the spring of this year.
Megadeth was also spotted at NAMM, Shawn and Dave were at the event signing autographs and meeting fans.
Rush has announced the release of the third volume of their compilation series. You can find out the track list on their website, or if you cant hold it till its out, then pre-order it HERE!
