...When the Devil sends the Beast with wrath...

If you’re reading this blog, chances are you must like Metal to some extent. On the same token, if you like Metal, chances are someone at some point might’ve asked you (at best) why it is that [we] like the Devil’s music.

Here is a piece I wrote as a requirement for a course I took at school. I’m not defending anything, I’m merely pointing out the obvious.

Hope you like!

Happy Crimbo! (Deserve the Future)

To have a Christmas #1 hit in Britain is more that enough reason to brag. To take over the #1 spot with an old song and with the help of your fans…. That’s something different!

This Christmas Rage Against The Machine took home the gold thanks to a grassroots Facebook group protesting the stencil-cut, readymade pop image that has slowly been taking over the media thanks to productions such as X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and the Idol spawn of shows, that have helped catapult to fame such notable figures as Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert.

Killing In The Name has become the first single to take the top spot of the British holiday charts solely through file downloads and Internet support, eclipsing X-Factor winner Joe McElderry by over 50 thousand downloads! All thanks to Jon and Tracy Morter, responsible for kick starting the Facebook movement.

In a statement released by Tom Morello the band has vowed to do a massive thank you gig in England, and even offered Simon Cowell the MC spot.

Holiday cheer doesnt stop with squishing Simon's Idols... Them Crooked Vultures have posted a live video for Elephant on their YouTube Channel. Not that i am suggesting anything, but judging from the production of the video i wouldnt be surprised if the show was taped for a specific reason... hopefully it will see the light of day soon, even as a leak, unlike MegadetH's blood in the water DVD that (to my knowledge) is still shelved.

And just when you think it was done... how about KISS saving Christmas?

Happy KISSmas!
